Mission Statement & Contract

The main thing you may expect from the agency is the dedication towards managing a long-lasting partnership with our clients, by providing an organized and secure foundation where the spirit of community is our primary goal. A strong community is one that has members who themselves want to update, interact and outreach to others, and this agency will strive to sign in promising members. We want our clients to feel comfortable without any more pressure than the entertainment industry is well capable of inflicting, but at the same time, we will also maintain focus on the general populace of all the clients that we represent. Which is to say, we will not ignore members who show inadequate signs of life, talent or promise to the agency.
Do note that all clients will be contacted before their contract is "terminated".

Clients are expected and encouraged to stay active and interactive through any means possible (commenting!, posting in journals and the subcommunities, Chirping, writing scenes, having chats, etc).
Personal journal updates are not an official requirement, but please bear in mind that this cyberactive division of the agency is meant to provide a social network for its clients. We are here to get to know each other. Perhaps intimately. A severe lack of any individual's visible presence will leave us no choice but to reconsider that individual's position in the agency.

Endeavor Talent Agency represents all actors, actresses, musicians, models, writers, producers, directors, athletes and artists. Immediate personal relations (non-celeb family, spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, etc) may apply to the community with an invitation or consent from the related celebrity, although such applications will also be processed based on their own merits, and not because of their ties.

(This is a Celebrity RPG where the aim for a community of talented writers, characters with personality, and creativity are the main distinctions of the game.

When we began this endeavor not too long ago, our goal was to foster a diverse environment where characters would be allowed and encouraged to be portrayed as deemed accurate by their players, as realistically and inspired as possible, and to nurture a haven where writers may find other writers like themselves - players seeking creative engagement and development for their chosen roles.

We have no overarching rules on how a character is played or what constitutes journal updates, since we are keen on diversity and the ideal that every character is unique and should be allowed to conduct and express themselves accordingly. Primarily, portrayals should be well thought out, believable and representative of the celebrity, so a strong foundational knowledge of your character is a basic necessity and players should - above all - respect their chosen celebrity enough to portray the role with an accurate resemblance.
Celebrities are also generally expected to stay true to their real life career commitments, such as their filming and touring schedules, but of course, a suspension of disbelief is acceptable for their social relationships.

Non-celebrity characters are also expected to maintain a standard of realistic decorum. A general outline is that a celeb character will have to be personally introduced to a non-celeb (through their celeb counterpart, for example), or a celeb character would have to make the initial move to acquaint themselves with a non-celeb character, before a "relation" is established; and non-celebrity characters may only comment to posts relevant to their circle of relations or with other non-celeb characters. We understand that it may be a silly limitation in a community where one of the goals is interaction, but it was a detail we agreed upon after a trying decision made to accept non-celeb members, since we have to consider that there are players who may be irked about interacting with non-celebs in a formally celeb game.

An AIM screenname is not required but those who do not wish to use AIM are expected to make themselves available for scene requests in other ways, such as a "dropbox" post in their journal.
Journal names should include the character's name only, preferably not initials, excessive underscores or numeral digits. AIM screennames should be recognizably relevant to the character's name.
There should be a public "Friends Only" post in the journal that displays a link to either [info]arigolden or [info]goldendeavor, and IP addresses should not be logged.

The distinction between OOC and IC should be respected at all times, godmodding is not allowed, and at the very end of it, let's maintain a collective outlook to be welcoming, friendly and to keep the community fun, stimulating and fresh in order for us to thrive and for roles to last over the long-term!)

Activity Overview

(The "agency" has no way of monitoring non-visible aspects of community involvement, for example: chats, correspondence in custom locked entries, emails or scenes. Hence, member "activity" can only be assessed from a character's visible presence through any of the following: Read more... )

Please add [info]arigolden as a friend and request membership to: GoldEndeavor, GoldEntourage, GoldEndaural, GoldEntrance and Golden Bridge

- All applications will be screened.
- If the role was held for you, please add a note of it in your comment.
- Please also make a small mention of it if you're applying under the recommendation of a member already in the community.
- Adds are done after every three successful applications, or after 2 to 3 days, depending on which comes sooner.
- Declined and approved applications will be notified as soon as an agent is available since we don't wish to waste anybody's time by leaving applicants hanging.
- Once officially signed into the community, a role may not be challenged. If you have reason to believe a specific client is inactive and would like to inquire about an override, please contact the agency here, but please note that the "last updated" field in a journal's user info may be very misleading, since there are players/characters who choose to update on [info]chirper.

Thank you for your interest in Endeavor!
